Adam Semel
AIA, NCARB, Managing Partner, SOM
Adam is a managing partner in SOM’s Chicago office, where he serves as a leader of the firm’s strategic growth and client engagement across all regions. He plays an integral role in the management and delivery of large-scale complex projects, and is highly experienced in navigating public agency approvals, zoning regulations, and facilitating meaningful conversations with local communities

Doug Voigt
AIA, AICP, Urban Design and Planning Partner, SOM
From his home city, Chicago, Doug leads urban design of the world’s great places, both old and new. As the leader of SOM’s global urban design and planning studio, Doug balances conceptual thinking with a realistic, hands-on approach to creating spaces and cities.

Jennifer Skowlund
AIA, LEED® AP, Associate Principal Urban Designer
Jennifer is an Associate Principal for SOM Chicago, navigating the balance between intelligent urban design and high-quality architecture. With over 15 years of experience in both architecture and urban planning, Jennifer has lead numerous design, planning, community engagement and entitlement efforts, including the 70-acre Lincoln Yards development along the Chicago River North Branch and the 305 South Congress master plan in Austin, Texas.

Tiara Hughes
NOMA, REALTOR, Project Manager, SOM
A St. Louis native, now based in Chicago, Tiara is a senior urban designer and project manager at SOM, as well as a devoted activist, educator and advocate for underrepresented communities and voices. As a designer, Tiara is driven by creating work that emphasizes greater socioeconomic equity and cultural awareness, and engages and empowers local communities.

Paul Bamson
Junior Designer
With degrees in both architecture and landscape architecture, the marriage of ecology and ecosystems with the built environment and technology are central to Paul’s design work. This passion allowed him to further learn how to utilize both buildings and the landscape as design tools for true sustainability and to engage a truly integrated and multidisciplinary practice.
